Golden Shoulders  Golden Shoulders loves their melodic rock. If you hear them, you'd know what I was talking about. These guys have been around for quite some time. In the past, you might have recognized them as The Gears. Although they have unique sound/lyrics to call their own, you might think of the Beatles with a hint of Violent Femmes when you hear this band. They come straight out of Nevada City, and have often played at Cooper's. You won't be disappointed when you hear their new record coming out in March 2005! This new album Let My Burden Be , has hit college radio like a fluffy hammer. It has sounds from the Twenty Bees record label in Scotland and was pressed all the way in New Zealand by Peter King. Their Golden Shoulders September 2004 Speed of Sound tour just ended, so look for them to play in the area or check out their website for more information. |
