Mama Z and Hot Buttered Blues She is a local Janis Joplin meets Etta James combined with some Hot Buttered Blues. From soul bands to rock bands, she is still loyal to the Blues. Some strong influences have been Etta James, Janis Joplin, Edgar Winter, just to name a few. This fun band was nominated for a Sacramento SAMMIE 2005 award for Best Blues Band.
