Sacramento Opera The Sacramento Opera Guild was formed over fifty years ago in 1947, and was an affiliate of the San Francisco Opera. The opera went though many transitions over the years and performances were held all over the Sacramento area. In 1981, the opera performed at the Sacramento Community Center Theater and over the next several years the performances became more frequent with a seasonal schedule. The opera now has an executive board, executive and artistic director, and has held over 40 productions for the Sacramento area. All performances are held at the Sacramento Community Center Theatre. The 2010-2011 Season includes Pagiacci in November and Rigoletto in February. |
